Audi Q3 Baby SUV is planned to make its debut at the Shanghai International Auto Show that takes place from April 21 to 28. It is the third SUV model of Audi after the larger Q5 and Q7 and potentially competes against the BMW X1. The new car looks like the Cross Coupe quattro design study unveiled by Audi in 2007.
Based on the platform architecture of Volkswagen Tiguan, the Q3 measures 4.39 meters in length (14.4 ft), 1.83 meters in width (6.0 ft), and 1.60 meters (5.25 ft) in height with the roof rails, which means it is 240mm shorter, 50mm narrower and 53mm lower than the Q5.

The Audi’s smaller SUV model has a pure Audi exterior styling and features a sharper front design with wedge-shaped headlamps and a roofline sloping towards the back.

The Q3 uses a pair of gasoline engines and a single TDI unit, with a second diesel to appear later on

The Q3 is able to speed up from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.9 seconds before reaching top speed of 230 km/h (143 mph)
The Q3 also characterizes typical high-quality Audi interior with a clean lines and space for five people. Besides, it has an on-board computer with efficiency program, an ambient lighting package with a bevy of LEDs, a panoramic glass roof, a storage package and a three-spoke leather steering wheel in a new Q-specific look.

The luggage compartment offers a basic capacity of 460-liters (16.24 cu ft)

The weight of this car is kept down by using a combination of materials. For instance, the engine hood and wraparound tailgate are made of aluminum while the passenger compartment features a variety of ultra-high-strength steels

The new Q3 is manufactured at Seat’s Martorell plant near Barcelona, Spain

It will go on sale in June with a base price in Germany of €29,900 (US$43,300)
